This is such a simple idea that you will be forgiven to think that “why didn’t i invent this!”
The Stress Eraser is a small portable device that act as a mini-biofeedback machine which helps to relax your body and calm your mind. It achieves this just by changing your breathing and your focus.
It acts to activate the nervous system into breathing slower and releasing stress. It does cost $299 but whn you think of what harmful symptoms that stress causes I think it’s a small price to pay.
I see this machine as a stepping stone to meditation, people may find it hard to jump in the deep end and start meditating, you may not have anyone to instruct you on the best way to do it and will therefore have little confidence in it but this tool will get you there fast.
The inventor is Chief Science Officer & co-founder, Michael Wood. He fell ill due to stress after collapsing while giving a talk to his work associates. This was the last straw after years of fighting stress he was fighting a losing battle, so he took a break and invented this wonderful machine.
Uses of this machine say that it improves how they feel after only a few sessions, you will feel your neck, shoulders and your whole body feel less tense and more relaxed. It will feel like you have had a nap, but you wake up feeling full of energy and not tired and groggy.
The testimonial page on the companies website stressEraser.com is very impressive. Wired Magazine give it a 9 out of 10 in it’s review of the product. Other people call it “magical”.
I think people should be warned when using this product, keep in mind that you body is clever in trying to give you a signal that you are going to burn out and you need to slow down, using this machine might ward off the problem so it’s important to recognize that you are stressed and what is causing that stress.
Use the machine to help you find a way out of the problem but you need to get to the root of the problem.
If work is to stressful then use the machine to calm yourself and then work out a way to either change jobs to something less stressful, or delegate more.
The important message is that you don’t keep “ploughing on” as if you can’t beat stress by ignoring the problem, this leads to high blood pressure and long term health problems. Look more into mediation and try and get a good meditation instructor.
