5 Reasons That You’re Fat

When you know exactly what the problem is you start to understand how and why you got there and have more motivation to actually fixing the problem.

Motivation is key to being able to effectively fight the battle of losing weight.

When looking at your 5 reasons why you’re fat you will be able to list and pinpoint what made you fat in the first place, with this knowledge you will then be confident to finding the right solutions to fix the problem, and therein lies the secret!

You need to workout from this list what 5 things are most relevant to you, there are thousands of webpages on the subject and the biggest problem is being overloaded with information that is not relevant to you and your problems.

There are 5 main areas to look at and then workout why you are indeed overweight, from this point you can then list what are YOUR specific reasons why you’re over weight.

Self Image

Without a good self image you are going to stay fat or get even fatter, how will you be able to change you’re frame of mind to doing more exercise or eating less when you have a low self esteem? you need to channel you’re mind, a low self esteem could actually motivate you to finally do something about it but you need to be able to visualise a better you and that comes from within, it comes from improving your self image.

Lifestyle
Things like your career choices and how you socialise can have big influences on how fat you are or will be. The type of work you do will play a part in the amount of energy you burn during the day. If you mostly watch TV or spend time on the computer at night then that’s going to not help you lose weight either. if you work a mainly sedate kind of way then you will need to be extra motivated to plan exercise before or after work, then you also have to fit in time to prepare healthy meals, see your friends and family, relax and spend time with your partner. The reality for most of us is that we are mainly behind a computer most of the day, so you need to try and combine exercise in the time outside work with other things you need in life, doing exercise with friends and family, use exercise as a way to relax and swap it with watching TV. There are many possibilities, but being conscious of the little time you have makes you use it more wisely.

Habits
Do you you over eat? Do you feel you are not getting enough exercise? chances are you answered yes to both of those. Bad habits will make you fat in no time, sustained over a long period of time and they could actually prove fatal and end your life prematurely through heart related illness and other over weight health problems. Well the good news is that you can chance these habits and from new healthy ones but you have to put sustained effort and and be motivated. Breaking a habit is something that requires at least 30 days of repeated activity, knowing this you can start to have realistic expectations of the amount of effort that is required, this will help you not get too unmotivated when you don’t see your habits changing after a few days.

Motivations
You are fat because you are unmotivated to change, to the level of actually starting to lose weight, so you may be motivated when you look in the mirror but it doesn’t last very long because you have lost hope to losing weight. We are all different so our motivations will be different, you need to start to get to no yourself enough to learn what things drive you and what will be the most powerful motivation to wanting to lose weight. Are you a person that like to fill your head with extra knowledge on how to lose weight? Will watching or reading a story about people who changed their life for the better work? explore your key drivers that work for your personality and use these to motivate you, remember you need to take action when you are motivated, there’s no point getting all excited about losing weight and then not taking the action to going on a long walk or jog, get motivated, take action and then repeat.

Company
The company you keep with also play a major roll in why you are over weight, if your partner does not exercise then it’s not going to help you much, this does not mean getting a new partner who does it means that you need to be aware of this and finding friends, family who do and do a workout with them, if that is too hard to organise then get to a fitness class, you will find like minded people that will help you keep focused and committed to losing weight.
